2016-03-15 chris posted:

Solicitor Jennifer Renney-Butland and Trainee Solicitor Christopher Amys gave a presentation to local businesses on Wednesday 2nd March at The Francis Hotel in Bath. The seminar was very well attended by our clients, local business owners and HR managers, and received a lot of positive feedback.

The seminar looked at recent developments including:

  • Changes to unfair dismissal;
  • Employment tribunal reforms;
  • Holiday pay calculations;
  • Termination payments and protected conversations;
  • Sickness absence and the fit for Work scheme;
  • Apprenticeships;
  • Foreign workers;
  • Zero hours contracts;
  • National Living Wage;
  • Gender pay reporting;
  • Shared parental leave; and
  • Childcare arrangements.

Our next Seminar will be about equality and discrimination, which we are looking to hold in July 2016.

Thank you very much for all your help. I really wasn't sure my employer was going to agree to the settlement, but we have managed to achieve the best possible outcome and for that I am grateful.
